Rule 1 : Joining Blazin' Pedals
1.0 All drivers must read the rule book
1.1 Drivers must register with their real name and validate email address.
1.2 League ID must be your real name. First and Last.
1.3 Car files are required to have your name somewhere in the file. (EX. SchmidtArca.gns.car)
1.4 Drivers are required to join the message forum.
 
Rule 2: Race Attendance
2.0 It is important all Series drivers attend their scheduled race
2.1 If you can not attend please contact a league official or post a message in the league forum..
2.2 Drivers missing 3 races with out contacting a league official will be removed to make room for drivers who want to race.
2.3 There needs to be at least two administrators logged into the server as "admins" at every event. If there are less that two admins, the event will either have to be postponed or a temporary admin must be appointed for the night. This rule is to ensure that we can enforce rule 15.1 of the rulebook.
 
Rule 3 : Drivers Meeting
3.0 All drivers are required to attend the drivers meeting.
3.1 Drivers meeting will be held on the leagues Teamspeak.
3.2 If a driver does not attend the drivers meeting the driver may not qualify and will start at the back of the field
 
Rule 4 : Chatting
4.0 Chatting during Qualifying and Green flag racing is Not Permitted.
4.1 Chatting is allowed under yellow. With one to go all chatting must stop.
4.2 Being disrespectful to other drivers or the use of foul language will not be tolerated.
4.3 Auto Chat Messages are permitted during green flag racing.
4.4 Teamspeak Chatting during green flag racing must be kept to a minimum. Keep it race related such as passing low, pitting ect. ( also use auto chat for race related issues. pitting, passing.. ect )
 
Rule 5 : Ejection from race
5.0 League Officials reserve the right to eject any driver from any Blazin' Pedals Sanctioned Event for foul language, rough driving,wreckless driving,and/or other rule violations .
5.1 No driver will be ejected until all attending officials have reviewed the situation.
5.2 A black flag may be given to a driver while the decision is being reviewed.
 
Rule 6: Race Number
6.0 Drivers are required to enter the race with their registered number.
6.1 Driver fails to enter race with registered number points will not be scored
6.2 Your Race Number will be the same for all divisions. Once you choose a number is is researved for you.
6.3 If you take a leave from the league for work or personal issues, you must notify a league admin that you would like to keep your number in researve for your return. A leave of absense will not be considered for a driver that chooses to run in another league. Your number will be put back on the market in this case.
 
Rule 7: Race Starts and Restarts
7.0 Cars suffering from mechanical failures and/or body damage that will prevent them from attaining race speed are encouraged, but not required to pit under yellow to place themselves at the rear of the field for the restart.
7.1 During a restart, you must maintain a distance of one car length (.2 seconds) behind the car in front of you. NO laying back on the restarts.
 
Rule 8: Caution Flags
8.0 Racing back to the line is Prohibited in all Blazin' Pedals Sanctioned Events.
8.1 Racing to the line will Only be considered acceptable is when there are five (5) laps or less remaining in the race
8.2 Passing before taking the flag is acceptable if you are coming up on someone significantly off pace from the result of spin or accident.
8.3 Drivers who gain position(s) when racing back to the yellow flag will be assessed a penalty for each position gained. Rule 8.2 is acceptable passing. Penalty for racing back will be a black flag.
8.4 If a yellow comes out within the final 10 laps of a race, lapped cars must pit during the 2nd lap by and line up single file behind the lead lap cars..
8.5 While pacing under caution. Drivers must maintain pace speed and DO NOT stop or fall back more then 0.2 while under yellow.
8.6 Cars that intentionally cause wrecks under yellow will be penalized 20th place points or points behind the last car running. and recieve a black flag at the start of the next event.
8.7 Who is at fault? The administration will determine who is at fault, If you know you made a mistake, no question about it, then own up! Fault for bringing out a caution includes Self-spins, and warp (warp is mechanical failure on your machine therefore it will be your caution)
 
Rule 9 : Pitting
9.0 Drivers must enter pit road in the Right Hand lane. There will be No passing on pit road.
9.1 The only time you cannot pass on pit row is coming into the pits during a caution. you may race off however.
9.2 Exiting your pit stall move to the outside lane as soon as you can to avoid other cars exiting their pit stalls.
9.3 When entering pitroad you are pacing. Bumping another car or harassing another car to speedup will not be tolerated. Violation will result in a black flag or ejection.
9.4 On pit road drivers must maintain at lest 1/2 car length behind the car in front.
 
Rule 10 : 5 Lap Rule for Superspeedways
10.0 With 5 to go drivers are allowed to race back to the line.
10.1 Low lining will be allowed with 5 to go.
10.2 Blocking is allowed with 5 to go. Wrecking points are STILL in effect. Be careful.
 
Rule 11 : Passing
11.0 The responsibility for being patient and waiting for an opportunity to make a clean pass rest on the driver attempting to make the pass Even though it may be the smart thing, the courteous thing, and the sportsmanlike thing to do, no one is obligated to simply move aside to allow another car to pass. Every driver has the right to continue to race his established racing line.
11.1 Apron passing on a straight or in a turn to gain position on any track is not allowed. Any driver doing so will be penalized with a black flag.
11.2 It is the responsibility of a trailing car to avoid the car in front. If a car is rear ended entering a turn the trailing car will be at fault an wrecking points adwarded.
 
Z3 Race for position
Z4 Inside car has position. Outside car must hold its line and not move down.
 
Rule 12 : Blocking
12.0 Blocking is defined as a change in ones racing line in a clear attempt to cut off and prevent a faster car from completing a pass. Use your head when blocking other cars, If you cause the wreck, you get the wrecking points.
 
Rule 13 : Lap Cars
13.0 Do not make drastic moves to attempt to get out of the way of the lead lap car, but maintain race speed and a smooth position while letting the lead lap car make the pass. It is the responsibility of the lead lap car to safely pass.
13.1 Lap cars should run with their F2+spacebar window open and move to the outside lane when faster cars are approaching.
13.2 If a yellow flag comes out with 10 or less laps to go all lap cars must pit and line up at the back of the field.
 
Rule 14 : Cheating
14.0 Cheating here at Blazin' Pedals is a serious infraction and will not be tolerated! We use cheat dection software to monitor our drivers so don't it !!!
14.1 Altering or using 3rd party software in any way so as to gain an unfair advantage will not be tolerated.
14.2 Members caught cheating will be permanently removed and your name will be forwarded to associate leagues and forums. If you can't race heads up without cheats, this isn't the place for you!
14.3 During qualifying laps, you must qualify ABOVE the line, not on the apron. If you are caught cheating during a qualifying lap, you will lose 100 points and serve a one race suspension.
14.4 All league races will be reviewed by an offtrack official. This will keep all drivers and administrators honest as well as making sure Cup series wrecking points are assigned to the appropriate drivers. A replay and an export will be provided for all league events and reviewed. If a driver or administrator is caught cheating by way of imroperly clearing black flags, awarding laps back that should not have been earned. Then the administrator who is guilty of this will be banned from racing in sanctioned league races and the driver that was awarded the adjustment will be docked 200 championship points.
 
 
Rule 15 : Black Flags
15.0 The game issues Black Flags for a reason. Admins will not give clear black flags
15.1 Admins who recieve a black flag may not clear thier own black flags. An another admin in the server will be required to perform this action should it be warranted. Any administrator caught clearing a black flag of thier own for ANY reason shall recieve last place points for that event. NO exceptions.
   
 
Rule 16 : Lucky Dog
16.0 Lucky dog car will pit after the lead lap cars, The lucky dog must speed on pit row to be given an end of the longest line penalty. An admin will give a lap back. If you DO NOT line up at the end of the longest line, you do not get your lap back
16.1 IF you are involved in the caution, you will not get the lucky dog
16.2 Lucky dog does not pass to the next car if the current lucky dog is found to be ineligible.
 
Rule 17 : Wrecking Points
17.0 The purpose of the Wrecking Points License System is to reduce the number of cautions and to hold drivers accountable for thier actions on the track.
17.1 If a driver causes a caution they need to claim the caution by either saying "mine" on teamspeak or typing it into the games auto chat. You do not need to explain yourself, just claim your caution. If nobody claims a cautions, the admins will ask one time, whos caution it is, both in teamspeak and autochat. If nobody still claims the caution, The driver causing that caution will lose five championship points as a penalty.
17.2 The Driver causing the caution will serve an end of longest line penalty. If you bring out the caution, you will be required to follow the same procedure as the lucky dog. If there is a dispute to who caused the caution, simply type in dispute into autochat and/or on teamspeak and the caution will be reviewed at the end of the race to determine fault. Both or all drivers involved in the dispute, will be given an end of longest line penalty.
17.3 If a driver does not proceed to the end of longest line as required, the admins will issue that driver a black flag. The EOLL is not negotiable. The only thing that will be reviewed is the caution to determine who gets the caution.
17.4 Be honest, if it was your caution, claim it, remember, when you do not claim the cautions and dispute it, another driver will have to serve an EOLL with you.
17.5 Every driver starts with six points on thier license, for each caution caused, the driver that causes the incident will lose a point on thier licence for that division up to six, once the sixth point is lost, the driver will recieve a one race suspension.
17.6 Upon returning the next week, the suspended driver will recieve one point back on thier licence, if they lose it again, they serve another week and so on.
17.7 A driver may earn points back on thier licence up to six by racing without causing a caution. For every three events a driver completes without bringing out the caution, That driver will recieve one point back on thier license.
 
Rule 18 : Apron on Superspeedways
18.0 It is illegal for a driver to advance his position by passing on the apron. Regardless of the line color.
18.1 Driver who advances his position by passing on the apron must give back the position(s) or receive a Black Flag.
 
Rule 19 : Server Disconnects & Fallout
19.0 Disconnects & Reconnects will be allowed during practice so that drivers may make adjustments to steering devices, get car files etc.
19.1 From the time we qualify to the time the race begins, any driver who disconnects, or falls out will not be allowed to reconnect NO EXCEPTIONS! this includes happy hour.
19.2 Once the race begins, if a driver falls out, they may reconnect to the server and continue to race.
 
Rule 20 : Have Fun
20.0 The most important rule is for our members to have fun, we are all here to have a stress free, enjoyable racing experience with other online drivers with the same interests "SIM RACING"!
20.1 We're all friends here at BP. We race clean and fair and look forward to racing with you.
 
Rule 21 : League Administration
21.0 As of 2010, Blazinpedals.com is a driver owned online racing league. The league will be governed by the Racing Admins & drivers. There are guidelines as to how decisions shall be made in the league as far as leadership, rule changes, mod & night changes, etc. This is defined here and may not be changed without going through the League Board.
21.1 The League shall be governed by a league President. The President shall be chosen by vote by the leagues Administration and Board.
21.2 The league board shall be chosen by the League President, provided they fit the guidelines for being a board member.
21.3 Any changes the League President wants to see happen, the President must take his proposed changed to the League Board for vote. If the board voted yes, the change can be put into place. No changes may be made without going before the League board. Changes must be approved by a majority vote.
21.4 To be an admin at Blazin' Pedals, you must race at BP full time. What this means is that you may not run in other leagues while being a Blazin' Pedals admin.
21.5 Board Member criteria is this, A board member is a voting member of the Blazin' Pedals staff. To be considered for a spot on the League Board, you must race full time at Blazin' Pedals, and help the league financially on a monthly basis, and be willing to put forth extra time into the league development if asked to do so.
21.6 League President criteria is as follows, A league President must run at Blazin' Pedals full time, help the league financially on a monthly basis, and put extra time into the development of Blazin' Pedals.
21.7 Extra time for league development is defined as assistance with special league events, updating the website, or any other duties that would not be considered "regular administrator duties".
21.8 Admins are encouraged to run their race nights as they would like with the exception of any rule changes, mod changes, or night changes without the approval of the League President and Board.
21.9 Voting on league President may happen at the end of the season annually. Nov. 1, the current league president will put a poll up for the admins to vote on as to whether they would like a Presidential vote for the next year. If all of the admins feel that the current President is doing everything to satisfaction, they may vote no, allowing the Current President to automatically serve another term. If one Admin votes yes then nominations will be accepted for voting. The vote shall be finalized for the following years leadership no later than Nov. 30. All Administrators are required to cast a vote. It is their obligation as an admin at Blazin' Pedals. The new League President will Take over Jan 1st.
21.10 Promoting an admin must be done through a vote by the League President and Board. This vote must be unanimous. A league Admin can also be removed from duty the same way.
